(We) can do better

Australia's decision to add weapons [1] to the Ukraine pyre shows our government is unable to critically formulate foreign policy.

While westerners are sending money to help Ukrainians, their elites are joyfully raiding Russian assets. This article is partly to explain a cartoon I recently published which apparently mystified a number of people. It pictured a pirate galleon called US-NATO with a crew talking about the treasure they had stolen from Russia, where a cartoon Biden asks a cartoon Victoria Nuland: "How much have we shaken Russia down, so far, Mrs Nuland?" and Nuland replies, "Well, let’s see.

It is very moving and impressive to watch tens of thousands of Pakistanis singing harmoniously in support of deposed President Imran Kahn Saturday night, whilst holding torches. The Pakistanis are not dupes. Similar protests occurred all over Pakistan.

Anti-war activists usually rightly oppose military aggression by the United States and its allies. Currently, however, many support US-NATO against Russia, in what has been labeled by the corporate newsmedia as unjustified and unprovoked Russian aggression against the sovereign nation of Ukraine.

(See Alex Christoforou's video commentary inside.) Why did Ukrainian President Zelensky appear before the Greek Parliament, with a Nazi soldier from Ukraine's Azov Batallion? Have Ukrainian Nazis grown tired of fighting a hopeless war in the background, while Zelenski is lionised, and now seek the limelight and recognition for their sacrifices? Lebanon Central Bank Governor Riad Salameh has denied statements made that the bank was bankrupt.  Salameh has led the bank for 30 years and claims it is going about its legally-mandated role despite losses in the financial sector.

The other side of the story: Russians say their troops left Bucha before the massacre happened.  They point to video by Bucha mayor of street clearing after the Russians had left, which shows no bodies in the streets. The Russians think that Ukrainian troops carried out the atrocity after the Russians left, as a false flag. Russia has demanded an immediate investigation of the UN Security Council but the UK and the US are trying to avoid this.

Prime Minister Imran Khan of Pakistan will remain in office after the no-confidence motion to be voted on today was rejected.

The UK judge had decided to block the US request for Julian's extradition, on medical grounds. Now the US government is seeking to overturn that decision on appeal. Although the District Judge refused the extradition she nevertheless denied Julian bail. He is still being held in Belmarsh Prison, as an unconvicted prisoner, in appalling conditions during Covid lockdown.

We have repeatedly mentioned facts about the atrocities of nationalists terrorizing civilians for any disobedience or attempts to leave settlements.

Today, footage of civilians killed in Chernihov, who were supposedly “shot by Russian servicemen,” was circulated on all propaganda resources of the Kiev regime. It was stated that all victims were allegedly queuing for bread.

I would like to stress the absence Russian servicemen in Chernihov.
