Criticism of one party to the Gaza conflict has been deemed 'hate speech' and illegal by the Australian federal parliament (see embedded Gerard Rennick video below). Somehow, however, the same federal government shows little concern about the actual hate crimes (as opposed to hate speech) being committed in full view of the whole world in Gaza, as in the embedded tweet. By one estimate, 52,928 Palestinians have been killed, and another 119,846 Palestinians injured, in an ongoing sequence of hate crimes committed in Gaza, in the 591 days since 7 October 2023. One example of these many hate crimes is shown below. Does the reporting of this hate crime constitute 'hate speech' in Australia?
