This is the most powerful speech I can recall ever having listened to. It even rivals, if not exceeds, speeches by President John F. Kennedy (1916-1963). Humanity, as a whole, not just Africans, stands to gain enormously from Ibrahim Traoré should he be able to help bring about the vision of which he speaks. In his speech he refers to Patrice Lumumba, the great leader of the Democratic Republic of Congo who was assassinated by Belgian colonialists with the help of the CIA on 17 January 1961, 3 days prior to the inauguration of US President-elect John F Kennedy. Ibrahim Traore seems unaware that Kennedy tried very hard to use his influence as President-elect to save Lumbumba's life. The photo shows JFK's grief upon learning that Patrice Lumumba had been killed.
