Tulsi Gabbard is the only anti-war candidate for the upcoming US presidential elections. For this reason, she has been slandered by most mass media and largely ignored by her own party. Yet, she is an impressive candidate in a distinctly lackluster field, and the only one with real experience in war. She is the first female combat veteran to run for president. She is also the first Samoan American, and a Hindu. She is a member of the Democratic Party and represents Hawaii in Congress. She has just responded to a veiled attack by Hillary Clinton on Twitter, in a tweet as sensational as any that Trump has come up with.
Tulsi Gabbard wrote:
"Great! Thank you @HillaryClinton. You, the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long, have finally come out from behind the curtain. From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a …
… concerted campaign to destroy my reputation. We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and …
… powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.
It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me. Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly."
Hillary Clinton was clearly attempting to put the discredited 'Russian interference' slur on Congresswoman Gabbard when she said in an interview:
“I’m not making any predictions but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who’s currently in the Democratic primary, and they’re grooming her to be the third-party candidate,”
The former secretary of state told David Plouffe in his “Campaign HQ” podcast without providing evidence.
“She’s the favorite of the Russians. They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.”
Tulsi Gabbard has inspired a great deal of interest among the general public, but that is not how the Democrats want to run the election. They even dropped Gabbard from their public election debates - which would be enough for some to make her a sure thing.
The former Secretary of State accused the Hawaii Democrat of being the “favorite of the Russians” on a podcast.
“I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” Clinton said."
