(This war, sadly still continues in December 2022 as Syria remains the brunt of vicious sanctions at the hands of the US government and its allies.) Since March 2022, Eva has been reporting from the Donetsk region in what was the eastern region of Ukraine. Donetsk has suffered military attacks from the Ukrainian regime which was installed in the US-orchestrated coup of February 2014. The presidential election of April 2019, won by the supposed peace candidate Volodomyr Zelenskyy with 70% of the popular vote, has done little to change circumstances for the residents of Donetsk, many of whom have been killed, have had their homes destroyed or for other reasons are no longer able to care for their dogs. Below Eva reports about a lost dogs home in the Donetsk region. Currently the home houses more than 800 dogs. Eva's story can be viewed from either the embedded Tweet or the embedded YouTube video, both of which are below. More of her reporting from Donetsk can be found in her Twitter page (twitter.com/EvaKBartlett).
On my last couple of visits to Donetsk, I went to a dog shelter caring for 800+ dogs. The shelter could really use support in order to care for the dogs.
*I have no financial/other affiliation to the shelter, just really appreciate what they are doing ❤️ https://t.co/D6QTzxIkvF— Eva Karene Bartlett (@EvaKBartlett) December 27, 2022
