Is Canadian Green Party leader Elizabeth May a re-incarnation of Socrates? It what should be the slogan of all Greens, who affect no concern for the impact that runaway mass immigration and the open-ended intake of millions of environmental refugees will have on Canadian biodiversity, Socrates said this more than 2500 years ago: “I am not an Athenian, nor a Greek, but a citizen of the world.” Loving strangers MORE than one’s own is a love more perverse than the perversity of hating and fearing strangers. Xenophilia in the contemporary context is but the handmaiden of globalism, an agenda to promote the movement of cheap migrant labour from undeveloped regions to regions of higher ecological footprints to grow corporate profits. Elizabeth May argues that since only 3% of the world’s population are on the move, migration accounts for a trivial portion of environmental problems. Tell that to the people of northern India. Or the people of the Sonora Valley. Or the people of the Fraser Basin in British Columbia. Three percent can cause great upheaval. And what is to come? Elizabeth, you ain’t seen nothing yet.
